Where to smoke a cigar?

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

The cigar layman, the beginning smoker, would likely wonder what difference it made where you smoked a cigar. Smoking a cigar is the equivalent of what you would wear to a certain occasion. You would not, after all, wear a t-shirt and jogging pants to your daughters wedding. That would be preposterous and insulting. The smoking of a fine cigar is similar. Certain cigars enhance certain occasions and those particular occasions call for a particular cigar.

As far as what cigars would go with what occasions, this is entire left to the discretion of the cigar smoker. As each palette is different from the rest, what would pull one smoker to one event might not be as appropriate for another. (Read the full post about ‘Where to smoke a cigar?’…)

Salah Abdul Saboor’s Play ”Night Traveller” a Blow Aganist Supression
Enlarge Image Night Traveller is considered one of Salah Abdul Saboor’s masterpieces, in fact one of the Egyptian theatre’s masterpieces. The plot of the Night Traveller revolves around a passenger in a train where his journey turns into a journey in the dark history of injustice through symbols, characters and the concepts of these characters that ruled the world one day. And the arguing between the Conductor and the Passenger turns into a strange trial in its form and details in order to remind us of the innocent man who defends his existence in life. Salah Abdul Saboor, Egypt’s foremost contemporary poet, was born in 1931. In 1951, he graduated from the Department of Arabic, Cairo University, where he studied classical Arabic literature and poetry. Shadows and Highlights - Back in the Zone

Friday, May 9th, 2008

Back in the days of Black and White I worked in a darkroom as a lab assistant; and sometimes students would make the mistake of asking me what I thought. If they wanted to learn this was not a mistake, but if they just wanted me say how great their work was . . . that was when it became a mistake. Sometimes I would advise them to crop tighter or change their center of balance, but by far the most common problem they had was with Shadows and Highlights.

I would ask a student to show me a pure “white” in their print and they would point to a cloud or something similar. I would say that’s not white, and they would argue with me. (Read the full post about ‘Shadows and Highlights - Back in the Zone’…)

I Go One Way, Beyond The Grand Canyon !

I Go One Way, Beyond The Grand Canyon !
What are you waiting for ? I don’t know, but something will come along, sooner or latter. The trend, the fad, or who knows what. I’m some-what of a coward maybe. Need to go one way, but need to come to stay, anyway I can, so I don’t like to think. I will go only so far, and maybe they’ll come to change, before I come, to go to far with them. Ride with the tide, and I want to be the fish, and the fish-keeper. Naming names that have come to go both ways, is taking longer and longer. Don’t know what the world is coming to, or where it’s going, and maybe I need to be willing to stand alone more. My leadership by myself has greater potential, and my prayers I hear alone. Habits That Are Worth Keeping !

Habits That Are Worth Keeping !
Who is the most likely to take the drunken vote ? They get what they want, (more booze, possibilities) with you, and yours perhaps than without. Then more accidents beyond the throw-up and then even though, “I still want your money” there’s plenty more, where that came from. Plenty more, wasted lives, that is . Wasted even without the booze both ways gone bad. Who but who wants to be in office with them, if what we want turns into what really ends up rotten to the core. The health plan will sure be needed more the wrong way, if we obtain a President that doesn’t care enough to hold us back, least herself or himself. The arms of love will hold you, and unseen ! The arms of man, will shoot you, and unseen. (Read the full post about ‘Habits That Are Worth Keeping !’…)

To Lie In Love !

To Lie In Love !
Silence isn’t a lie, and isn’t nothing, as true as true can be. I need more, in love ! I need to be lied to ! I need some of me back good ! He who comes to lie to me out in the open, brings me to funny in loving graces. How much love, have lies brought us ? If lies didn’t exsist, “Where would “Funny-Human” run off to” ? Where would the Judges laughter go alone? What would the play-backs be worth? Where would, “Worse off than ever go” ? What would become of movies ? The News, needs it’s lies gone good maybe more often than not. They leave room, for the comedy shows. Loving lies, need room, to grow, and grow on you, beyond money on trees ! How can I become more interesting as a person, if I’m believed right off ? (Read the full post about ‘To Lie In Love !’…)

Romance of Antique Oil Lamps

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

Attesting to the romantic and practical value of the necessary household item of not long ago, oil lamps new are available for about $15.00 and up.

When it comes to pleasant, quiet, or romantic settings, burning an oil lamp is akin to candles. Back when homes were lit with hanging oil lamps, you would probably never hear anyone calling them romantic. Antique oil lamps and hanging oil lamps are much safer than open flame candles. Antique oil lamps or either a hanging oil lamp, softens shadows and invites the eye. A romantic experience can be ultimately achieved by having a soft flickering flame and can be ruined by the opposite.

Antique oil lamps, a step up from lamps that use kerosene, uses a petroleum based oil. (Read the full post about ‘Romance of Antique Oil Lamps’…)

Why Eat Chocolate for Dessert?

Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

So many people are health-conscious, so many people are obese, so many people eat terrible food - greasy, fatty, over-processed, and so many people don’t get enough exercise. Why even think about eating chocolate for dessert? Because there’s nothing like the “mouth-feel” of chocolate; because it’s the additives, not the chocolate itself, that are fattening or that can cause allergic reactions; and because, after a long hard day of “being good”, eating something that “feels” decadent can be very very satisfying.

How wonderful then if what feels decadent is actually good for you! We’re talking dark chocolate here, at least 70% cocoa. (Read the full post about ‘Why Eat Chocolate for Dessert?’…)
